ASHA
Started publication in 1914 from Brahmapur with Sashibhushan Ray as the editor. It carried a wide variety of contemporary news from both home and abroad along with readers’ views, news of meetings, and advertisements. War news of the time was featured prominently. It also carried essays particularly those with ideas on social transformation. Although basically an Odia newspaper, it carried some letters and articles in English language.
